Two Tip Tuesday – Pattern followup and guilds

Thank you all for your comments on my pattern questions! I also had several by email. I appreciate your feedback and value your opinions.  I realized I didn’t give the best description for option A, the “regular” pattern size.  An 8 1/2″ x 11″ paper folded in half that fits in a 6″ x 9″ plastic sleeve.  I bet you understood anyway 😉

I will be taking part in the Global Quilt Connection presentations for guilds on Sept. 2nd.  If you are a guild looking for a speaker this is a great way to see a number of teachers in a couple hours.  You can register on the website.  Global Quilt Connection.  There has already been one afternoon of 30 teachers with two more presentation days planned.  I love the logo!

I hope to “see” some of you from 4-6pm on  Sept. 2nd.  We have 3 minutes to tell you about ourselves and programs.  (I may have to talk fast!  Seriously, I love to tell stories about my quilting adventures.) This virtual new world of presentation is amazing.  There is limited space on the Zoom call but extras can watch via YouTube at the same time.  I would love to speak at your guild.  Even virtually, since most guilds are not meeting in person.  I have a list of my most popular lecture/trunk shows on my website.  Check them out by clicking on the words above!

Are you in a quilt guild?  Who are your quilting buddies?  I’m in two guilds, same local area.  There are only a few of us that belong to both.  I love meeting with other quilters to sit and stitch.  With all this staying at home, I really miss our outings/gatherings.  I have taught on the Zoom platform and will be putting up classes in the next couple weeks.  If you have a request for a class, be sure to email me or post in the comments.  It doesn’t matter how far away you live, virtual classes come directly to you over your computer/tablet/phone!

#1 – Take a class!  You can learn a new technique, play with a new design, or hang out with new/old quilting friends!  Do you know someone who wants to learn to quilt?  Encourage them to join in, I love teaching all levels.

#2 – Join in the Around the Block – US Tour.  It is a great way to meet new quilt designers and get some wonderful free patterns!

in quilting,

Debbie
